A preeszezonban természetesen keverve lesznek a fiatalok az öregekkel. Lee, Picard lesz legtöbbet foglalkoztatva - gondolom - Smith, Kuba, Richardson párjainként.
Lee franchisenek van szánva, ezért gondolnám, hogy fentmarad, viszont ha nem lesz meggyőző simán leteszik a Bingoba.
Elolvastam a cikket, tartalmilag nagyon rendben van, szép összefoglalása az offszezonotoknak. Annyit mindenképp mondanék, ha lehet feléd némi építő jellegű kritikát megfogalmazni, hogy a helyesírásra figyelj oda jobban. Elég sok benne a hiba, nem "fikázni" akarom meg minden, csak a segítő szándék vezérelt.

Winchester tavaly azon a néhány mecsen megnyerő volt. Agilisnek láttam, s talán több jégidővel, jobb sorban megállhatja a helyét. Aztán Foligno a következő akire szintén számít. Így akár Bass kezdhet a Bingoban is, de ez úgyis a preszezon után derülhet csak ki.

Azokkal nagyon is jól ment neki. Ha ezekkel még a csapatjáték is menne neki(sorkeverés esetén) + legalább ennyi pont, akkor mindenki elégedett lehet...kivéve az ellent.
Beginning today, with the opening of Ottawa Senators rookie camp, Winchester will be put in a position to play a top role with the National Hockey League team.If all goes well, he could even start the season on one of the club's top two lines, perhaps playing alongside Jason Spezza, Dany Heatley or Daniel Alfredsson.
Senators coach Craig Hartsburg plans to separate Spezza, Heatley and Alfredsson in a bid to spread around the offence those high-scoring forwards provide.
Even if Mike Fisher and Antoine Vermette also play somewhere on the top two units, there remains an opening in the Senators' top six.
Enter Winchester, a player with a grand total of one NHL game on his résumé, who hasn't yet attended an NHL training camp and who scored just eight goals at Colgate University last season.
"For me, (Winchester) is a guy we are going to give a great opportunity to play with really good players right from the start," Hartsburg said yesterday. "From what I've seen at the prospect camp and last week (playing shinny), and from talking to some of the scouts in the past week, he's not like an 18 or 19-year-old kid just coming out of junior. He has worked extremely hard, he's smart and we're going to give him a chance right away to contribute."
"We need some young energy in our top nine forwards," Hartsburg said. "They have to go in there and do a job for us. We're going to give (Winchester), and obviously Foligno, a chance to contribute right away through camp. It's kind of up to them, once you put them there and give them a chance to play with an Alfredsson and a Fisher or whoever. If there's some chemistry there, then we'll see."
"We have some really good players, star players, and I think we also have a great group of role players here, so the thing is, we've got to get them buying in, all in, to the program," said Hartsburg, who spent part of the summer talking to Senators players about what they thought contributed to the stunning second-half collapse in 2007-08. "Whether it's Daniel Alfredsson or Jason Spezza or Chris Neil or Shean Donovan, they all have to believe in the same things. They all have strengths that we're going to try and take advantage of, but they all have to believe in and be prepared to do whatever it takes to follow the plan, the all-in mentality."
Translation: Alfredsson can't force plays that aren't there, Spezza has to play defence and eliminate blind drop passes, Neil has to show more discipline and avoid bad penalties, Donovan has to get involved in front of the net and along the boards.
The new head coach also alluded to the late arrivals and myriad other controversies and rumours involving former goaltender Ray Emery and other players last season. He echoed the words of general manager Bryan Murray, who has made no secret of the fact that the off-ice image of the Senators as a party squad must change.
However, Hartsburg laughed when asked if that part of the plan called for 10 p.m. curfews and issuing of alarm clocks to every Ottawa player.
"They won't need (alarm clocks)," he said. "These are men, we're going to treat them like men, but we expect them to act like men and professionals. We all like to have fun and it's important to have fun, but the image is very important and how we act. That will transcend itself to the ice."

"Alfie" is the first of his three linemates to make the list of the league's top scorers on home ice. The team captain has become the steady two-way force who has guided the group at Scotiabank Place. The crafty right wing amassed 49 of his 89 points at home to finish seventh in the league and fourth among Eastern Conference performers in that category. Alfredsson had 14 multi-point games at home, including a five-point showing (two goals) in a 6-1 triumph over Montreal on Feb. 9. He'll be asked to continue his productivity this season alongside usual linemates Dany Heatley and Jason Spezza.

Bass, who can play centre or wing, could benefit from his versatility in competition for a fourth-line slot.

Mindenesetre egy 1. körös pickünk már van hozzá(SJS). De szerintem védőre kellene koncentrálnunk. Fő célpont Jay. Kuba szerződése csak erre a szezonra szól és Murray nem akar megint mindenkiről lemaradni.
The Ottawa Senators have signed forward Brad Isbister to a one-year, two-way contract.
The 10-year NHL veteran spent the 2007-08 campaign playing for the Vancouver Canucks, where he recorded six goals and five assists in 55 games.
He made his NHL debut in 1997-98 with Phoenix, playing in 66 games with the Coyotes in his rookie season.
Isbister has recorded 222 points in 541 career NHL games with Phoenix, the New York Islanders, Edmonton Oilers, Boston Bruins, New York Rangers and Vancouver.
The 31-year-old Edmonton native was the third-round choice (67th overall) of the Winnipeg Jets in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.
